West Valley Emergency Services has been providing first aid station and roving medics, with EMT / Emergency
Response volunteers who serve as emergency responders at community and private events in the San Francisco
Bay Area since 1979. West Valley Emergency Services’ first aid stations are established at large or small
gatherings, such as parades, festivals, Art & Wine, conventions and sporting events, to supplement the municipal
and county emergency medical personnel. First aid stations can also be utilized for small gatherings, such as

First aid stations are fixed sites that people visit for basic first aid and initial medical evaluations. Volunteers also
roam the event to provide mobile care in other areas.  First Aid Stations are staffed with competent and
experienced EMT / ARC ER volunteers who have experience providing immediate and temporary care for injuries

Each first aid station team member holds current certifications as an EMT or American Red Cross Emergency
Response and either AHA Health Care Provider or ARC CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Additionally, they are
trained in preventing disease transmission, administering oxygen and using an (AED) automated external
Defibrillator.

This visible and valuable service to the community will undoubtedly save lives, reduce injuries and alleviate stress
on the EMS system, allowing everyone to enjoy the hundreds of recreational and entertaining events in the
